to announce that Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s Maharshi Parashuram College of
Engineering, Velneshwar is going to organize 3 days National Workshop on “Bibliometrics,
Scientometrics and Webometrics” from 15th February to 17th February 2017.The information broucher is
attached herewith.
Bibliometrics is one
of the important subjects in Library and Information Science. Bibliometric
analysis is the application of mathematics and statistical methods for books and
other records of communication. It has found that one fourth of all the
research articles published in the Library and Information Science periodicals
are on Bibliometrics and its related topics. Bibliometric techniques have been
gaining importance and recognition in their application to real tasks in
library and information resource management.
Citation techniques are becoming more and more popular to identify the
characteristics of subject literature.
For the quality workshop we have
experienced resource persons for this workshop. Through this workshop
librarians and library staff will get the complete knowledge about
Bibliometrics and its related topics. We are developing good quality study
material for the participants of this workshop.
Velneshwar is a tourist place that’s why
we are planning to complete registration by the end of December 2016, so that
participants will get their Railway, Bus reservation well in advance. It’s good
