National Workshop on Techniques in Electronic Resource Management and Service - (One Week Workshop)

TECHNIQUES in ELECTRONIC RESOURCE MANAGEMENT and SERVICES (TERMS) - 22-27 August 2016

Will be held at : Sahyadri Arts and Commerce College, Shivamogga.

Workshop Objectives
• To introduce the best practices in e-resource management by providing hands-on training from the experts.
• To equip participants with skills of collection development and management of e-resources by providing a strong theoretical and practical base.
• To provide a strategic action plan to the librarians to manage the e-resources that includes e-books, e-journals, electronic thesis and dissertations.
• To introduce the various open access content that can be offered to library users by creating knowledge portals.
To provide a well-designed training manual that can act as a guide for the participants for implementing the best practices at their libraries.

Who Can Participate:
Approximately 30 selected young working librarians, faculty members, and research scholars of LIS working in colleges, universities and corporate sectors will be considered on first-come-first-serve basis.

10. Content Management System – Drupal and its Application for Creating Knowledge Portal (Includes Hands on Sessions)
11. SPSS package (Includes Hands on Sessions)

Registration Fee
The registration fee for the participants is Rs. 1000. Fee in the form of cash is to be paid to the Organising Secretary, National Work Shop on Techniques in Electronic Resource Management and Services (TERMS), Sahyadri Arts and Commerce College, Shivmogga. The registration fee includes course material, working lunch, and high tea.

Accommodation:
No accommodation is provided to the participants and should be made on their own. However, the details of lodges/hotels will be given for the participants on request.
