Theme
The
2016 International Conference on Marching
Beyond the Libraries: The Role of Social Media and Networking aims to unfold latest
emerging technologies on how information seekers can create, share, or exchange
information, ideas in virtual
communities and networks trough computer-mediated tools.
There is a growing demand to manage the increasing flow of information both in
and out of the library optimally, effectively and efficiently. The conference
intends to bring together students, LIS scholars, academicians and industry
practitioners on a single platform to review the latest trends of social media
and networking and its impact upon users. The conference will also review the
quality of work required by the library and information professionals for
adopting, sustaining, and promoting the new technologies with constructive
recommendations. The conference is expected to have wide participation of delegates
from India and abroad.

There will be a half day work shop on
the theme "Think, Create, and
Innovate". In this work shop participants will showcase their
creativity towards future librarianship.

However, papers on any other topic related to the main theme of the
conference may also be submitted.
Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit paper(s) as per
on any one of the conference topics. Papers should include name of the
author, designation, affiliation, title of the article with a signed
declaration that the theme is of his own, and the paper has not been published
or submitted anywhere for publication. Manuscripts should be submitted
electronically as e-mail “attachment” to: icmbl.2016@gmail.com; icmbl.2016@kiit.ac.in
The Editorial Board
reserves all the rights to accept, alter or reject the articles without any
prior intimation. The Editorial Board accepts no responsibility of the
statements and opinions expressed by the contributors.
Ten
selected papers will be published in KIIT Journal of Library and Information
Management (ISSN 2348-0858) and
all other accepted papers will be published in the post conference volume
published by a renowned national publisher with ISBN.
Guidelines for Submission of Full Paper
The full paper should
be prepared as per the guidelines provided.
Body of Manuscript
Manuscript must be
prepared on standard A4 size paper setting ranging between 2500 to 3000 words.
It must be prepared on a 1.15 spacing and single column with 1-inch margin set
for top, bottom, left and right. It should be typed in 11-point Times New Roman
font with page numbers at the bottom centre of every page.
Heading
All section headings
should be in 14-point Times New Roman font. These must be bold faced, aligned
left and fully capitalized. Leave a blank line before each heading.
Figures & Tables
These must be simple,
centered and numbered, with the titles of the tables above the tables and title
of the figures below the figures. Sources of tables/figures should be mentioned
below them.
Citation & References
References within the
text and at the end of the paper should be in the style prescribed in the
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 6th edition.
Awards
“Best Paper Award” will be presented in the valedictory ceremony of
the conference. The award will be decided by a specially designated committee
of experts.
Besides,
best paper award, best presentation in the workshop will also be awarded.
